Artist's Statement: The act of creating through art is deeply satisfying and therapeutic. Except for the limitations of canvas and plywood, creating is boundless. My inspiration is very local. I’ve done landscapes from Loblolly and San Felasco Hammock trails but also of Sandhill Cranes that migrate here. And now I get inspiration from the microworlds of lichen and mushrooms – from my own back yard.
